The sport of Hurling is a tradition for the county of Cornwall that dates back hundreds of years. Nowadays it is only played in a few small towns in Cornwall such as St Columb Major; played twice a year on Shrove Tuesday and the Saturday after, Town battle Country in an effort to retain the famed silver ball.
